Huncote Vipers Model Car Club
Welcome To Huncote Vipers Model Car Club
We celebrate on 27th March 2020
30 Years of racing!!
The Huncote Vipers Model Car Club was formed by David Quemby along with Charles and Paul Dunkley
Rob Norwell and Colin Watts.
The first meeting was held at the Huncote Community Primary School on Tuesday 27th March 1990.
Since then the club has gone from strength to strength and has members of various ages.
The main aim of the club is to promote the sport of radio control model car racing, providing a safe
environment for youngsters to use their cars and a place for them to learn how to tune and maintain them.
The club is affiliated to the British Radio Car Association which is the governing body of the sport in this country.
With the aid of shares from the Building Society the club managed to purchase a laptop PC, bbk race timing
software and AMD transponders to enable automatic and accurate lap timing.
The club still meets on a Tuesday night (7.00pm-10.00pm) and always welcomes new members.
Racing is done using 1/10 or 1/12 scale electric cars (buggies and saloon) on a carpet based track.
The circuit is changed once a month to allow drivers time to test different car set-ups.
The club is looking for new members to join us in our 30th Year.
If you have got an old car in the loft get it down & come & join us.
If you are thinking about racing & want to try it out first
come down & use one of our club cars.
